Munchkin Bath Toys

Munchkin is a leading US baby brand that is new to the UK and includes a selection of bathing, feeding and hygiene products which are all BPA free. To the delight of our Little Garden Helpers Munchkin were kind enough to send some of their bath toys for them to try and it was smiles all round. Both Garden Girl and Garden Boy love their bath time. They bath together and happily splash each other and love nothing more than to pour endless beakers of water over each other. The Caterpillar Spillers, as a result were a huge hit with them both. Made up of seven pieces, each cup has holes in the bottom which form a shower of a different pattern and speed when lifted out of the water. Garden Girl and Garden Boy spent an entire bath time experimenting with the cups as they poured showers over each other. Garden Boy, a big fan of jigsaws, was also enthralled with the idea that if he linked all the cups together he could create a caterpillar. The cups also stack to form a tower, although this was never going to work in the bath and very quickly became a discarded activity. Each cup is a bright and engaging colour and the caterpillar has a happy, sweet face which Garden Boy was drawn to. At ages 3 and a half and almost 2 our Little Garden Helpers are really engaged by this bath toy which is suitable from 9 months + so is one which will definately stand the test of time. I was really impressed and would definitely buy this as a gift for other children.

The Wet Wheels turtle is also made in bright and engaging colours but was outdone by the caterpillar spillers. The turtle has mini sea creatures inside that rattle when the turtle is moved and is a nice size for small hands. The turtle floats in the bath but also has wheels for pushing along and to be honest the turtle has been played with most out of the bath on the landing floor as a push along toy than in the bath where it just floats around looking cute. In some ways I think it will be more suitable for Garden Bump in a few months as younger children will enjoy the rattle and the colours, although the packaging says it is only suitable from 12 months + so I feel it has a much shorter life than the caterpillar spillers.

Munchkin definately have an eye for great design and use colour really well and I will definitely look out for their products  in Wilkinson’s and Asda who will both be stocking their range of bathing, feeding and hygiene products and I would really recommend the caterpillar spillers as an excellent buy. It is also worth checking out their full range of products online as they have some great items.
